German company BioConstruct has been signed up to work on two waste-to-energy projects in the UK totalling 8.6MW.
The company said both projects will treat pumpable waste and will benefit from the renewable obligation certificate system, which is applicable until the end of March 2017.
One project is a 5.1MW plant in Hartlepool, while the other is a 3.5MW scheme in North Cave in Yorkshire.
BioConstruct said construction has started and the projects will be commissioned before the end of March 2017.
