Vergnet has started work on the second phase of the Amdjarass wind farm in Chad.
The work comprises electrification and includes installing energy storage, two generators and a transmission line.
The first phase – installation of four GEV MP 275kW turbines – was completed in February.
When the project has been completed in December, the city of Amdjarass will become the first in Chad to be fully powered by renewable energy.
