UK company PV Energy has signed a contract with the government of Antigua and Barbuda to develop 10MW of solar power at schools and public buildings on the Caribbean islands.
The projects will consist of an 8MW installation and numerous smaller projects at more than 50 schools and other public buildings.
A total of 12 schools have been supplied with solar power, so far, the government said.
PV Energy is currently providing one school a week with sun2roof installations backed by an 11-strong local team.
