The first turbine components have arrived in the Port of Galway for phase one of the 174MW Galway wind park in the west of Ireland.
The first phase of the project, which is solely owned by SSE, will feature 22 Siemens SWT-3.0-101 machines.
Engineering outfit Roadbridge has all but completed the civil construction works at the site.
Roadbridge is also working on the Coillte and SSE 108MW phase two, which started in January and is scheduled for completion in the third quarter of next year.
