Vestas has won an order to supply 131MW of turbine components in the US.
The order includes production tax credit-compatible components that are compatible with several of its 2MW and 3MW platforms, the manufacturer said.
Deliveries are expected to start in the fourth quarter of this year.
Vestas didn’t disclose client and project names at the customer’s request.
“We are pleased to announce this PTC Safe Harbor order, which will enable our customer to qualify a substantial portfolio of projects for 100% of the Production Tax Credit value,” said Vestas US and Canada sales and service division president Chris Brown.
“This versatile component mix will provide high competitiveness during this PTC window, and will enable our customer to deliver even more cost-effective wind energy to rate payers throughout North America.”
