Engineering outfit Enertis has acquired a stake in Blue Tree Asset Management to participate in its plans to manage 1GW of renewable energy plants within three years.
Blue Tree currently manages a 240MW of solar and wind power projects for its clients in Italy and Spain, it said, without giving more details.
The Madrid company plans to enter the US, UK, Mexico, Chile and French markets.
Enertis, which has advised on 10GW of renewable energy projects in 30 countries, will help drive this growth.
“The incorporation of Enertis enhances our distinctive business strategy, based on the independence and specialization of a multidisciplinary team that combines a great expertise in the technical, financial and legal management of renewable assets,” Blue Tree general manager Pedro Diosdado said.
“With this alliance, we also increase our capabilities and will be able to leverage Enertis’ broad presence, markets’ knowledge and international experience for our expansion in target markets in Europe and America.”
