Hunger Hydraulic UK is to supply hydraulic cylinders and seals for Marine Power Systems’s WaveSub device.
The company said the hydraulic cylinders are for the WaveSub’s power take-off system.
It added that Hunger Hydraulic has the potential to provide the company with cylinders for the full-scale and commercial-scale WaveSub device.
The WaveSub project has been part-funded by the European Regional Development Fund through the Welsh government.
Marine Power Systems co-founder and managing director Gareth Stockman said: “We are looking forward to the delivery of the cylinders as we move towards building our award winning WaveSub device ahead of deployment at sea later this year.”
