MHI Vestas Offshore Wind has confirmed that it will supply 49 V164-8MW turbines for Vattenfall’s 406MW Horns Rev 3 offshore wind farm in Denmark.
The deal covers supply, installation and commissioning of the wind turbines, as well as a five-year full-scope service contract.
MHI Vestas Offshore Wind said it will deliver the project and the deal “will not enter into the order backlog of Vestas Wind Systems”.
Vestas, which owns 50% of the MHI Vestas Offshore Wind joint venture, added that it will disclose firm and unconditional orders received by MHI Vestas Offshore Wind with a total capacity of 400MW.
