Invenergy Wind has arranged financing for its 74.8MW Roncevaux wind farm currently under construction in Quebec.
The company said National Bank Financial Markets and Sun Life Assurance Company acted as lenders and co-lead arrangers for the deal.
No details were disclosed regarding the amount of finance involved.
The wind farm, which is in Ruisseau-Ferguson about 500km east of Quebec City, will consist of 34 GE 2.2-107 turbines.
It is expected to be operational in December.
The project is a collaboration between Invenergy, the Régie intermunicipale de l’énergie Gaspésie–Îles-de-la-Madeleine and Énergie Éolienne Bas-Saint-Laurent SENC.
Hydro Quebec Distribution will buy electricity generated by the project under a 25-year power purchase agreement.
