Dalby Offshore’s barge ASV Pioneer provided support during the successful repair of an export cable at EWE’s 113MW Riffgat wind farm off Borkum Island in the German North Sea
Dalby said it worked closely with partners Bohlen & Doyen and completed the repair in “challenging sea conditions as the waters were shallow with strong tidal currents”.
Dalby Offshore managing director Stuart McNiven said the Pioneer (pictured) proved an excellent and stable platform to complete export cable remediation work.
“We believe the Pioneer has now proved itself to the industry after completing four such repairs in recent time, particularly as we were able to increase the working parameters on the latest repair due to the Pioneer’s excellent sea keeping capability,” he said.
