German developer WKN has commissioned the 23.1MW Westerengel wind farm in the east of the country.
The PNE Wind unit has handed over the facility in Thuringia to German investment company CEE on schedule, it said.
The wind farm consists of seven Vestas V112 3.3MW turbines with a hub height of 140 metres.
CEE is part of the Lampe Equity Management Group, a unit of Bankhaus Lampe.
“By realising the Westerengel wind farm, WKN again proves its high level of competence with regard to well-structured and high-quality project development,” WKN chief operating officer Roland Stanze said.
“Considering today’s turbine sizes, Westerengel has been completed on an impressive timescale after the approval had been granted by paying careful attention to a variety of environmental and residential demands.”
