The installation of the first monopile foundation at Dong Energy’s 573MW Race Bank project off Norfolk has been completed.
GeoSea jack-up Innovation tackled the job at the project and is continuing the installation campaign for the remaining 90 Bilfinger-made foundations.
Race Bank will feature 91 Siemens 6MW turbines to be installed by A2Sea in 2017.
First export cable installation operations commenced in June at the landfall in the Wash, near Sutton Bridge with the nearshore section of the NKT-made cable pulled ashore by Jan de Nul.
The first offshore substation is also nearing completion and will be ready for installation in quarter three by Seaway Heavy Lifting using vessel Oleg Strashnov.
