Vestas is to supply eight V126 3.3MW wind turbines for a 26MW wind farm being developed by Elfa Elektrik Uretim at Balikesir in Turkey.
Turbine delivery is planned for the third quarter of 2016, with commissioning expected in the fourth quarter.
The contract involves the supply and installation, as well as a 10-year AOM 4000 service agreement.
Vestas Turkey general manager Olcayto Yigit said: “With its 126-metre rotor diameter that enables greater wind capture and thus higher annual energy production, the V126 3.3MW turbine model is designed for low- to mid-speed wind regimes and delivers market-leading cost of energy.”
