SgurrEnergy has secured a three-year asset management contract for the 51.7MW Harburnhead wind farm in Scotland, bringing the consultancy’s portfolio to over 150MW of operational assets.
The 22-turbine wind farm is currently under construction and will be commissioned in late 2016, after which operations and maintenance will commence.
SgurrEnergy’s team will provide round the clock monitoring, control and grid point services via their 24/7 control centre.
It will also undertake site and operations management, performance analysis and high voltage switching and maintenance.
Harburnhead is situated 4km south of West Calder and is expected to generate over £3m for the local economy, as well as create jobs during its construction and operational life.
