Walcon Marine has completed the workboat berthing facility at Great Yarmouth for the operations and maintenance base for Statoil’s 402MW Dudgeon offshore wind farm.
Walcon said it was contracted by Offshore Design Engineering to design and install the 52-metre jetty on one section of the waterfront.
The jetty consists of a series of heavy-duty System 21 pontoons three metres across and 11.5 metres in length, with 600 mm of freeboard.
Walcon said handrails have been fitted at each end and along the back edge, with additional features including fresh water, safety pedestals, lighting, navigation lights and CCTV.
