The tower sections for the GE Renewable Energy turbines for the 30MW Block Island offshore wind farm have arrived in Providence.
The wind farm, which is being developed by Deepwater Wind, will consist of five GE 150 6MW Haliade units.
The turbines will be installed during the summer with commercial operation set for the third quarter of the year.
The project will the first offshore wind farm in the US.
