Windwave Workboats’ Freddie S vessel is providing 24-hour jack-up support for Siemens Wind Power Service on Dong Energy’s 210MW Westermost Rough wind farm off the UK east coast.
The Freddie S will operate out of the port of Grimsby supporting a team of Siemen’s heavy lift technicians working on the Sea Challenger jack-up vessel.
Westermost Rough consists of 35 of Siemen’s SWT-6.0-154 6MW turbines.
The 17.5m Freddie S was built by South Boats in 2012 and is powered to a top speed of 21 knots by two 950hp MTU diesel engines.
