Van Oord and Highland Group Holdings have agreed to develop, finance and build the 252MW Deutsche Bucht offshore wind farm in Germany.
The Dutch contractor will execute the balance of plant for the project, which is located 90km into the North Sea.
The Van Oord contract consists of the engineering, procurement and construction of the foundations, inter array cables and the offshore substation.
The companies said they intend to participate in the equity for the offshore wind project, which is expected to reach financial close in the first half of next year.
Construction works will start in the second half of 2018 and the facility will start operating in 2019.
