Finnish manufacturer Konecranes has received an order to deliver cranes for Siemens’ new nacelle factory in Germany.
Konecranes will provide 18 industrial cranes and one gantry crane to the Cuxhaven facility during summer 2017, it said.
They will have a lifting capacity of 20 to 500 tonnes each and will be used for assembly work.
The value of the order has not been disclosed.
Siemens aims to open its first German factory for offshore wind turbine components in mid-2017.
