Vysiion has won a contract to supply a 108km fibre link onshore cable for the 400MW Rampion offshore wind farm in southern England.
The UK infrastructure and communications outfit said it will supply, splice and test the four-circuit cable link from the onshore substation at Bolney to the beachhead.
The contract was awarded by Carillion which is the main contractor for the 26km onshore grid wire for the project.
Vysiion infrastructure sales manager Michael Grimshaw said: “The Rampion wind farm project contract is another example of how the team at Vysiion is able to support the infrastructure requirements of the UK’s wind power industry.”
