Engineering company Osbit and Dutch subsea technology outfit Seatools are partnering to develop offshore systems for the renewable sector, including motion compensated walk to work gangways.
The partners have built on Osbit’s passive telescopic gangways and Seatools active control technology to develop the MaXccess AM-Series of active motion compensated gangway systems.
The gangways are able to actively compensate for vessel motions and transfer personnel quickly and safely to a wide range of offshore structures, the companies said.
Osbit executive chairman Tony Trapp said: “Entering into this collaborative agreement with Seatools supports Osbit’s ambition to create innovative and effective solutions for the offshore industry.”
