The port authority of Seville in Spain has approved the installation of a €54m manufacturing facility for offshore wind towers in its area.
Spain’s Gestamp Wind Steel will produce more than 110 towers a year and create about 400 new jobs, the authority said.
It will market the towers and the metallic structures to install them under the GRI Towers Sevilla brand.
The 50-year concession involves an area of 159,700 square meters.
