Seaway Heavy Lifting (SHL) has set the substation topside into place at the 400MW Horns Rev 3 offshore wind farm off the west coast of Denmark.
The Dutch outfit was hired by Energinet.dk to tackle both the HSM-built 1500-tonne foundation and 1800-tonne topside installation.
SHL published the images of the installation last night with work continuing on the project.
The foundation is affixed to the seabed using 60-metre pin piles which each weigh 120. Heavylift vessel Stanislav Yudin in on the job.
Vattenfall will build Horns Rev 3 with full operations planned before 2020.
