EDF Renewable Energy has acquired Global Resource Options (groSolar), a US solar developer and provider of turnkey engineering, procurement and construction services.
GroSolar was founded in 1998 and has designed built, procured equipment and installed more than 150MW in the US.
The deal is subject to “customary conditions precedent”, EDF said.
Marathon Capital was financial advisor to groSolar on the deal.
EDF RE chief executive officer and president Tristan Grimbert said: “The company brings EDF RE the ability to offer competitively priced distributed generation solar solutions to the growing municipal, university, school and hospital, corporate and utility customer base.”
