UK gearbox designer and software provider Romax has been awarded its 35th design assessment certificate (GL A-DA) for the NFAIC 3.3MW wind turbine gearbox.
The company said the latest A-DA certificate was achieved through its global engineering team.
Romax added it has previously been awarded certification for wind gearboxes used in turbines ranging from 1.5MW to over 5MW.
Romax InSight global vice president Ashley Crowther said: “We are thrilled to continue to innovate and support the certification of the latest wind gearbox designs.
“We are taking our extensive knowledge from machinery failures into predictive maintenance, due diligence, retrofit solutions and product design.”
