Almost 60% of US solar photovoltaic developers believe they will install more capacity in 2016 than last year, according to a survey by EuPD Research.
The study – US PV InstallerMonitor 2015/2016 – found 58% of developers claim they will install more than in 2015, while 17% of those surveyed believe 2016 will offer less business than last year.
Some 41% of the developers plan to hire more people, with only 16% saying they will have to release staff.
EuPD Research said the prolongation of the Investment Tax Credit in the US is a “possible reason for the optimistic outlook”.
A total of 302 developers from 42 US states and Washington DC were surveyed.
