EDF EN Canada is to sell power from a pair of planned Ontario solar projects to the province’s Independent Electricity System Operator.
The developer is partnered by the Algonquins of Pikwàkanagàn First Nation on the 10MW and 12MW projects, which secured 20-year power purchase deals.
The smaller Barlow project is near Cornwall while the larger Pendleton array is in Alfred and Plantagenet township.
Construction on both solar schemes is due to kick off in 2018 with full operational later that same year.
