CWind subsidiary National Wind Farm Training Centres (NWFTC) is to provide rescue training to Dong Energy’s 172MW Gunfleet Sands offshore wind farm off the Essex coast in the UK.
NWFTC will deliver courses from its Lowestoft training facility in advanced rescue, as well as GWO-accredited first aid, manual handling and sea survival programmes.
The training will take place over a seven-week period in the spring.
Dong Energy senior contract manager Agnieszka Golebiowska said: “Safety is Dong Energy’s top priority and these courses will play an important role in ensuring that our team is able to maintain high standards in these important areas.”
NWFTC training manager Tom O’Shea said: “The overall approach to training at Gunfleet Sands has been excellent throughout the entire process thus far and we very much look forward to providing a relevant, quality training experience to their team.”
