UK specialist Hughes Sub Surface Engineering has been selected to carry out a plum subsea contract on Dong offshore wind farms in Denmark and Germany.
The Merseyside company will tackle structural inspections at the Danish developer’s operational 400MW Anholt, the under-construction 312MW Borkum Riffgrund and nearly-complete 582MW Gode Wind 1 & 2 off Germany.
The contract was awarded in recent weeks on undisclosed terms.
Hughes is based in Bootle in the northwest of England and has a long track record working with the offshore wind sector. Previous clients include SSE and Alstom (now GE).
