Trina Solar has landed a contract to supply 40MW of PV panels to Turkish developer Tegnatia.
The Chinese solar panel maker will deliver modules for projects in the Mersin, Adana, Konya and Erzurum areas of southern and eastern Turkey by the end of June 2016, it said.
Tegnatia, a joint venture between Turkish clean energy investor T-Dinamik and Greek contractor Egnatia Group, aims to build medium and large-scale solar parks in the country.
Its general manager Mustafa Tiris said: “We are delighted to partner with Trina Solar, a global solar energy leader. We have ambitious targets to bring the benefits of high-quality solar PV to a wider range of Turkish companies and consumers, which requires a strong and reliable partner that can provide the quality of product and service that these projects demand.”
