Aerojet Rocketdyne, Arkansas Electric Cooperative Corp and Ouachita Electric Cooperative Corp are to announce on 31 March the commissioning of the 12MW East Camden solar array in Arkansas.
The project is located on 100 acres in the Highland Industrial Park and is owned and operated by Silicon Ranch Corp, which also constructed the array.
Aerojet Rocketdyne will purchase the electricity from the plant, with excess power released to AECC and dispatched to the wholesale power market.
OECC, which serves Highland Industrial Park, provided technical support, guidance and expertise in power production and delivery for the project.
