Syncarpha Capital and Pacolet Milliken have grid-connected three solar projects totalling 12MW in Massachusetts.
The plants, which are located in the towns of Leominster, North Adams and Palmer, are part of the US Environmental Protection Agency’s RE-Powering America’s Land initiative.
The companies said the initiative “encourages the development of renewable energy on current and formerly contaminated lands, such as landfills, brownfields and superfund sites”.
Pacolet Milliken executive vice president of energy Ralph Walker said: “The addition of these three projects brings the solar portfolio in Massachusetts to 18MW, all of which have all gone online within the last two years.”
