NextEra Energy Resources has launched an investigation after a turbine at its 30.6MW Pubnico Point Wind in Canada suffered a blade failure.
A company spokesman said the incident occurred on Saturday at the Nova Scotia project.
The wind farm consists of 17 Vestas V80 units which started commercial operations in 2005.
NextEra acquired the project in 2008.
