TRAC advantEDGE, which repairs and protects wind turbines from leading edge erosion, has appointed Tom Kent to its engineering team.
Kent (pictured) was most recently at Centrica, where he was responsible for the long-term care of almost 500MW of onshore and offshore wind assets.
TRAC advantEDGE general manager Brian Forbes said: “Tom has fantastic experience and his expertise in the wind industry makes him a valuable asset.”
TRAC’s work is carried out using either an automated or manual system to install prefabricated modular erosion shields.
The company said demonstrations for potential customers are ongoing in the UK with further field demonstrations planned for the coming months across Europe.
