RES has named Steven Hughes as global asset management director, a new position the company has set up to accelerate growth in the area
Hughes (pictured) has been with RES since 2001 and has worked across several parts of the business, including wind turbine technology assessment, contract management, procurement and wind energy deployment.
Most recently, he has focused on growing the UK and Ireland asset management business.
The role will include all global asset management activity, where over100 people manage more than 2GW for a range of owners in six countries.
RES said Hughes’s particular focus will be on three areas: customers; innovation and talent.
RES chief financial officer Donald Joyce said: “Steven brings a wealth of experience to this role, having been the director of generation and asset management in the UK and Ireland since 2010.
“I am confident he will bring relevant knowledge and expertise to all areas of RES’ asset management portfolio and drive the growth of the company.”
