Transmission operators Energinet.dk and 50Hertz have gone to market seeking €25m worth of gravity base foundations for substations to link the Kriegers Flak offshore wind farm and the grid networks in Denmark and Germany.
The partners are seeking substructures to support an offshore HVDC convertor station as well as two AC substations, collectively part of the “combined grid solution” project and the 600MW Kriegers Flak in the Baltic Sea.
Workscope includes detailed engineering, procurement, construction and offshore installation of two foundations. Also included is fabrication and transportation to the project site, preparation of seabed, placement, scour protection and all other relevant works.
Execution of the contract is expected to run from end-2016 through the first quarter of 2018. Initial responses are due back with 50Hertz on 14 March.
Energinet.dk and 50Hertz are also seeking 170kV gas-insulated switchgear for the combined solution for delivery in the third quarter of 2017. Estimated value of the contract is €2m and reponses are due back by 18 March.
The partners are finally seeking a 235/155kV 450MVA autotransformer for the convertor substaiton and 60-120Mvar, 235kV variable shunt reactor for an associated onshore substation at Tolstrup Gaarde in Denmark.
Bidders for the roughly €6m contracts – which can be separately or together – should provide materials to TSOs by 18 March.
