The UK government has published a draft blueprint that could dictate the location of future deployment of renewable energy projects off England and Wales.
DECC will consult on the Strategic Environmental Assessment for eight weeks before setting measures in stone based on feedback received.
The SEA will be used as the basis for potential future leasing rounds, although none have been identified at this time.
Renewable technologies included are wave, tidal, tidal range and offshore wind both fixed and floating.
DECC is leaning towards a limiting potential deployment both spatially and temporally.
The draft SEA is available to download from DECC.
