Earnings at Acciona Windpower more than doubled to €84m last year, up from €39m in 2015.
The EBITDA figures came on the back of growing wind capacity with 128MW installed during the year in South Africa, Poland and Spain.
Overall, the Acciona group booked a €207 net profit, an increase of 12.1% on a year earlier, thanks to a “strong performance” from its wind division.
The Spain-based company has a total installed wind capacity of 7.2GW according to figures released today as part of its annual results.
Acciona Windpower will merge with German turbine manufacturer Nordex later this year.
