Development partners AES Wind and Wind Energy Limited have fallen short with attempts to salvage the 114MW Glenmorie wind farm in the Scottish Highlands.
The Court of Session in Edinburgh dismissed a judicial review filed by Glenmorie Wind Farm Limited that represented the final lifeline for the 34-turbine project.
AES Wind/Wind Energy were seeking to overturn the 2014 rejection by Energy Minister Fergus Ewing, who agreed with an official’s recommendation to refuse based on visual and landscape impacts.
AES said when seeking the judicial review that “significant material issues” were not addressed during consideration of the 114MW wind farm.
