Vestas is to supply TaxWay, a subsidiary of Cobra, with 53MW for the Vientos de Pastorale wind farm in Uruguay.
The Danes will deliver 16 V126 3.3MW turbines for the Vientos de Pastorale wind farm in Uruguay.
Turbine delivery is set for the third quarter of 2016, with commissioning expected in the first quarter of 2017.
The project, which will be located in in Villa Pastora in the southwestern province of Flores, is Cobra’s second with Vestas in the country.
The deal comprises supply, installation and commissioning of the wind turbines as well as a 10-year active output management 4000 service agreement.
Vestas Mediterranean president Marco Graziano said: “Vientos de Pastorale will be the second project that Vestas signs with Cobra and we look forward to putting our expertise and cutting-edge technologies at the disposal of such a valued partner.”
