Fedaia Holdings, a Luxembourg-based subsidiary of Macquarie European Infrastructure Fund 4, has completed the purchase of Enel’s 49% stake in Hydro Dolomiti for €335.4m.
Hydro Dolomiti operates 28 hydropower plants, mainly located in the Italian province of Trento, with a total installed capacity of about 1,280MW.
The portfolio comprises 26 large hydro plants totalling 1,277.3MW and two small facilities totalling 2.4MW.
Enel said the closing of the Hydro Dolomiti deal brings the total value of disposals already completed rises to €1.9bn out of a total of €3.7bn of sale agreements.
The sales are part of Enel’s programme to actively manage its asset portfolio, proceeds from which are intended to finance the group’s further growth.
