Cerberus Capital Management has acquired from Sinia Renovables, Comsa Renovables, Esif and Renovis four Spanish wind farms totalling 105.8MW.
The projects have an estimated enterprise value of €175m.
They are the 20MW Sierra Sesnández plant in Zamora, the 30.6MW Loma del Capón facility in Granada, the 30MW Magaz farm in Palencia and 25.2MW Cova da Serpe II project in Lugo.
Law firm Watson Farley & Williams advised Cerberus on the acquisitions.
WFW’s Madrid-based team was led on the deals by Spain managing partner and corporate head María Pilar García Guijarro. She was assisted by corporate associate Rosana Segado.
Partner David Diez advised on regulatory matters, and senior associate José María Anarte on the banking and finance aspects of the transaction.
Pilar said: “Advising Cerberus on this matter, as well as on their €1bn acquisition of Renovalia in January and the acquisition of the Turó del Magré and Pujolt wind parks last summer, demonstrates their confidence in WFW as the go-to firm for advice on their Spanish operations.”
