BayWa has acquired Solesa Engineering, an Italian solar operations and maintenance company, which has a customer base of approximately 27MW.
BayWa said the acquisition was made last December.
The company’s Italian team is led by Lorenzo Palombi and Alessandra Toschi.
BayWa added that as well as O&M it’s work will cover the entire value chain of the market “being able to ensure operation in project development, engineering and design, construction and financial services”.
BayWa board member Matthias Taft said: “The acquisition of Solesa is a crucial step towards the consolidation of BayWa king as a key player in the Italian market.
“This acquisition strategy strengthens our strong organic growth in the market.
“Now we are in a prime position to take advantage of local market opportunities for renewable energy.”
