Indian manufacturer Suzlon has opened a blade science centre in Vejle in Denmark.
The company said the aim of the venture is to accelerate its “vision to become a leader in technology in the wind industry”.
The centre will focus on developing the blades and control systems, as well as integrate Suzlon’s aerodynamic loads and structures across the company.
Thomas Buhl has joined Suzlon to lead the centre. He has more than 15 years of experience in aerodynamics and blade structures and comes from the Technical University of Denmark Wind Energy.
Suzlon chairman Tulsi Tanti said: “Innovation is at the core of Suzlon’s DNA and I am confident the new blade centre will give further impetus to our research and development efforts.”
