Norfolk Marine has completed the first phase of a three-year framework agreement with Eon to provide subsea inspection services for the 60MW Scroby Sands offshore wind farm.
The contract is a turnkey package that involves the company’s own vessels, dive teams and NDT inspection equipment.
An assessment of subsea structures is being carried out to ensure the long-term integrity of the monopole foundations.
The inspection contract covers seabed scour, coatings condition, cathodic protection condition, steel thickness readings and general condition assessment.
The work is being carried out from the company’s operation’s facility in the Port of Lowestoft.
Norfolk Marine has been able to complete 80% of the contracted works during the first year’s campaign.
