Suzlon Group is to supply National Aluminum Company (Nalco) and Hindustan Petroleum with 50.4MW each for two wind farms in India.
The projects will consist of 24 S97 2.1MW units and are scheduled to be completed in 2017. The Nalco project will have 90-metre towers, while the Hindustan Petroleum facility will have 120-metre hybrid towers.
Suzlon will be responsible for the entire project life-cycle of the Nalco wind farm, including operations and maintenance for an initial period of 10 years.
Both clients government businesses.
Suzlon Energy chief sales officer Ishwar Mangal said: “It is encouraging to see public-sector units proactively participating in the nation’s paradigm shift to a low-carbon economy.”
