French asset manager Mirova is acquiring from Swedish developer Nordisk Vindkraft 80% of the 27.6MW Våsberget wind farm in Gävleborg county in Sweden.
The wind farm will comprise eight Vestas V117 3.45MW turbines and will be connected to Ellevio’s substation in Laforsen.
Energisation is scheduled for September.
The project has been granted all requisite rights, permits and authorisations.
Nordisk Vindkraft retains 20% ownership and will build and operate the wind farm.
Nordisk Vindkraft chief executive officer Arne Lorenzen said: “We share with Mirova a long-term view of the renewable energy sector and we look forward to building and operating the project with such an experienced partner.”
Mirova Renewable Energy Funds head Raphael Lance said: “This project, which would be our third in Sweden, features excellent fundamentals enabling highly competitive electricity production.”
Newsec has acted as mergers and acquisitions advisor to Nordisk Vindkraft in the deal.
