The 60MW Alpha Ventus offshore wind farm, Germany’s first, exceeded the forecast yield for 2015 by 3.1%.
The wind farm, which is jointly owned by EWE, Eon and Vattenfall, generated 242GWh of electricity last year, its fifth complete operating year.
It achieved an availability of 93.4%.
Alpha Ventus operating company DOTI chief executive officer Wilfried Hube said: “The five-year average amounts to 4120 full load hours – twice as high as onshore installations.
“Alpha ventus will pass the milestone of 1.5TWh of offshore-generated energy in February 2016.”
