Aquila Capital has taken a majority stake in the 110MW Midtfjellet wind farm in Norway.
The asset manager acquired the shares from Energiselskapet Buskerud for an undisclosed sum.
Midfjellet has been online since 2013 and features Nordex N100 and N90 turbines. It holds permission for a 40MW extension.
“The transaction underlines Aquila Capital’s strategy of acquiring renewable energy assets through cooperations with energy companies,” said the company.
The transaction increases Aquila’s track record in wind energy to an installed capacity of roughly 500MW.
Midtfjellet was the subject of a turbine fire in November that remains under investigation.
