A large portion of the electricity generated will be sold under a long-term power purchase agreement to Lincoln Electric System.
The center will employ 12 people and contribute $3m to the local economy.
Invenergy vice president of development Kelly Meyer said: “This state-of-the-art facility allows us to provide long-term, clean energy to our customers in the region.”
